| At 8 p.m. the temperature drops and it begins to snow on the Black Tide. It is light and wispy, hardly worth noting as it melts as soon it lands on a surface. Still, the snow is determined. It continues until 9 p.m. when it begins to fall in earnest. Accumulation begins, as it piles and higher and higher in the hallways. It stops at last at 10 p.m. Nameless travel the halls, shovels in hand to clear a path for the passengers so that they might leave their rooms.
At 10 p.m. there is a knock on the door. BAM! BAM! BAM! Special delivery! If passengers do not answer, they will find outside their rooms, nestled under a blanket of snow, a basket. Inside are snow boots and warm winter jackets and scarves, mugs and packets of cocoa and marshmallows. Passengers who do answer will be greeted by a snowman, a basket dangling precariously on their stick arms. It is a present from your esteemed Captain Rowe.
